Peter A Carfagna
Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer
JetHawks Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer Peter A. Carfagna is an accomplished businessman and attorney, and an avid baseball fan. Mr. Carfagna entered the world of professional baseball ownership in November of 2000, when he lead his family's purchase of the Columbus Red Stixx baseball team in Columbus, Georgia, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Following the 2002 season, the club was relocated to Eastlake, OH, which is within 20 miles of its parent club, becoming the Lake County Captains. Under their ownership, the Captains have attracted over two million fans during their first six seasons in Northeast Ohio.
Pete Carfagna
Senior Vice President
Pete Carfagna serves as the Senior Vice President for the Lancaster JetHawks and Lake County Captains, overseeing the day-to-day business operations of both minor league baseball clubs.
Mike Carfagna
Controller
After working for 5 years at a Big 4 accounting firm in the forensic accounting/litigation support department, Mike Carfagna will be "joining the family business" in 2010, serving as the Lancaster Jethawks Controller. A Certified Public Account, Mike has had experience in the sports landscape vis-à-vis an internship with sports marketing and client-management firm IMG and by contributing "unofficially" to his family's owning and operating of the Lancaster Jethawks, Lake County Captains, and Everett Aquasox. Mike received his BA in Economics with honors from Harvard University and his MSA in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and is excited about joining the Jethawks' front office in 2010.
Larry Thornhill

Larry will be enjoying his 2nd season in Minor League Baseball Management this season. Hardly a new face around the park, Larry served as the Voice of Clear Channel stadium from opening day 1996 until 2001. He was elected to the JetHawks Hall of Fame and continued to support the JetHawks during the past seven years. Larry is a Southern California native and has lived in Lancaster since 1984. He has been involved in the community as the VP and Market Manager with Antelope Broadcasting and Clear Channel Radio since his move to the AV. Along the way he has put together some great community programs such as Varsity First Pitch (High School Baseball Tournament at the stadium), Monster Truck Shows at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, Concerts at the Palmdale Amphitheatre, and Ice Skating Rink for the Holiday Season. He has worked closely in the community with local groups in promoting their causes. Larry also performed as the voice of AVC Marauder athletics in the 90's on KAVL Radio as well as High School Football on radio and Local Channel 3. Larry is a huge fan of baseball and youth sports in the community and looks forward to a great 2009 season.
Derek Sharp

Derek enters his third season as Assistant General Manager of the Lancaster JetHawks. Originally from Piqua, Ohio, Derek is in his eleventh season in minor league baseball. Before coming to the JetHawks in late 2007, Derek was General Manager of the Batavia (NY) Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League. Prior to that his first six seasons were spent with the Hudson Valley Renegades in New York, also part of the New York-Penn League. During his tenure in Hudson Valley, Derek began his career as a ticket intern and eventually became the Assistant General Manager. An avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, & Cincinnati Reds fan, Derek is married to Ashley and lives in Palmdale. They also have two dogs, Scooby and Sammy.

After joining the JetHawks during the 2007 season, this will be Jeremy's third full season with the team. Excited about his new position Jeremy will still hang on to the Promotional and fun part of his job. After a successful on field wedding to wrap up the season, Jeremy is coming up with the next big thing to happen at the Hangar!

Will enters his third season with the JetHawks in 2010. Prior to working in Lancaster, Will spent three seasons with the Modesto Nuts. Will oversees all of the JetHawks community-based programs including KaBoom’s Reading Challenge. Will graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a BA in history and also played four years of college lacrosse for Loyola Marymount. He was born and raised in San Francisco and continues to root for the 49ers, Giants and Warriors. He also has visited 8 out of the 10 stadiums in the California League and hopes to cross the other two off of his list in 2010

Trent begins his second season with the JetHawks. Previously, he worked for the Brevard County Manatees in Melbourne, FL and is a graduate from the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH. Despite originally hailing from Memphis, TN; Trent is a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Red Wings, Oakland Athletics, and St. Louis Cardinals.

Will joins the JetHawks staff fresh out of Cal State Long Beach after earning his degree in Broadcast Journalism. This will be his second time working for the JetHawks, after a two year career as a batboy almost 10 years ago. Since joining the staff Will has created "This Week In JetHawks Baseball", a weekly video series hosted by Jeff Lasky that showcases JetHawks players and promotions before every home stand. He also launched CSN, a 24/7 streaming internet radio station that covers local sports in th Antelope Valley. Along with being the Program Director for the Community Sport Network, Will also is the play by play announcer for the High School Football Game of the Week and hosts vairous shows on the network. Will looks forward to a successful career with the team and has been an Antelope Valley native for more than 20 years.

A native of Southern California, Jeff enters his fifth season behind the microphone doing the radio play-by-play for the JetHawks. The Daily News rates him as one of the ten best play-by-play broadcasters in the Los Angeles area. Jeff hosts the JetHawks Clubhouse Show radio talk show to bring a greater emphasis on the personalities of the players. He also handles all JetHawks media relations, working with local media members and serving as a team spokesman and frequent interview guest to spread news about JetHawks nation across the country.

In addition to Jeremy's other responsibilites with the Club he also serves as the JetHawks Liason to the Hispanic Community. Jeremy learned to speak Spanish while living and working in the small South American Country of Ecuador. His love for the culture and language led him to pursue a degree in Spanish and Anthropology. Currently he is working on a Spanish language website for the JetHawks and organizing a handful of special nights this season. Viva los Hacones!

Daniel Putrino joins the JetHawks after graduating from Cal State Long Beach with a bachelors degree in broadcast journalism. He has also studied at the Groundlings Improvisational School in Los Angeles. He is a huge baseball fan and plans to further his career in sports as an intern here with the JetHawks. His favortie color is green and he loves to eat out. He is a Lancaster native, and previously attended AVC where he graduated with an associates degree in liberal arts. He is very happy to be back and can't wait to meet KaBoom in person.

Originally from Lancaster, Dale has triumphantly returned from Kansas Wesleyan University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Health. Albert is a California native entering his second year with the JetHawks in 2010. He enjoys umpiring youth and adult baseball in the Antelope Valley and is an active participant in Little League Baseball, Pony League Baseball and umpiring various youth and adult leagues in the Antelope Valley. Albert has 3 children and has lived in the Antelope Valley for 14 years. Albert is also a field commentator on CSN for the high school football game of the week and also has a weekly sports show that recaps local high school and youth sports in the Antelope Valley.

Sean will be the ticket operations intern for the 2010 season. A native of Angola, Indiana, Sean received his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from The University of Nebraska in 2008 and his Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Indiana University this past August. He is a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan, roots for the home state Indianapolis Colts, and tries to believe in the Chicago Cubs. In addition to sports, Sean is also a huge fan of music and enjoys the smooth sounds of the Beatles.

Scott begins his first season with the JetHawks in 2010. A native of Atlanta, Ga., Scott spent the 2009 season as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting with the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Carolina League. Prior to his time in Lynchburg, Scott was a radio broadcaster for TCU baseball for two seasons. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in journalism from Texas Christian University. Scott is a die-hard fan of Syracuse, TCU and the Cleveland Indians and he is thrilled to join the JetHawks broadcast team this season.

Originally from Lancaster, Ashley joins the JetHawks as the promotions and entertainment intern, as well as a returning Hawkette. Ashley enjoys watching baseball, especially her favorite team, the Yankees. Away from the ballpark, Ashley competes in a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball and swimming. Ashley is excited to be part of the staff and can’t wait to meet the fans of JetHawks baseball.

Nick will be the JetHawks’ Food and Beverage intern for the 2010 season. A native of Northville, Michigan, Nick received his bachelor’s degree in business management and his master’s degree in sports management from Western Michigan University. He is a die-hard Ohio State fan and roots for the home state Detroit Lions in hopes that they may return to glory one day. As well as sports, Nick enjoys listening to all types of music and his favorite group is the Dave Matthews Band.
